Planet Protein partnered up with the Russell Education Foundation to provide their plant-based protein bars to the players at their annual Golf Scramble event. Lacking plant-based options, South Florida's own provided the support on a balmy weekend in mid-April.
Former Miami Hurricane and Dolphin 'Twan Russell founded his namesake organization in 1998 with the help of his late mother, Corliss. Corliss had a heart of gold and a passion for helping close the gap that underprivileged children may face as they navigate their way through early education.
The Russell Education Foundation currently serves over 1,000 young students in 11 of the most important locations in South Florida. Through his fundraising efforts, Russell has grown his organization through tournaments such as the Golf Scramble. The Russell Education Foundation operates through reading rooms dotted across South Florida's most needy schools. Also among its programs are summer camps and after school programs, greatly assisting dual income households.
Planet Protein was honored to fuel the golfers taking part in such an important cause to support. Word on the course is the bars were beloved by the golfers, many of whom are NFL alumni and members of the Miami Dolphins organization. Planet Protein thanks the Russell Education Foundation for the opportunity to provide for our community!
